About Blank Slate Monument
The Blank Slate Monument is on a mission to spark healing and unity through dialogue. There are ‘problematic narratives’ that do not do justice to the African American experience of the Civil War in America. The Blank Slate Monument aims to change that narrative.
About The Artist
Kwame Akoto-Bamfo is a versatile Ghanaian artist who is known for his cultural activism.
His outdoor sculpture ‘Nkyinkyim Installation’ is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Transatlantic slave trade.
