Through a generous award provided by the Institute of Museums and Library Services, the Association of African American Museums is pleased to announce the expansion of the AAAM|EMP Internship. Funding through the federal agency was given to assist the association with advancing AAAM’s Emerging Museum Professionals and HBCU initiatives. AAAM will pay the interns directly, to make certain that institutional members only need to worry about the intern project and enhancing the overall intern experience.
~ Five Paid Internships
~ Five AAAM Institutional Members will be selected
~ Duration 10 – 12 weeks
~ Internship may be in person or virtual; however, please strongly consider hosting a virtual intern to reduce lodging costs that will be paid directly by each respective intern.

PLEASE NOTE:
Preference will be given to HBCU students. However, as the grant is not limited to HBCU students, all students may apply and will be considered.
