Join the African American Program of the Heinz History Center for an online screening of “Ida B. Wells: A Passion for Justice” on May 27, 5:30pm to 8:00pm EST, as part of the 2020 From Slavery to Freedom Film Series. ABOUT THE FILM
This film documents the dramatic life and turbulent times of Ida B. Wells, the pioneering African American journalist, activist, suffragist, and anti-lynching crusader of the post-Reconstruction period. Featuring selected readings by Nobel Prizewinning author Toni Morrison, this film earned awards at more than 20 international film festivals.
