We are honoring the legacy of Paul Robeson by celebrating the women who influenced him and the women who continue to keep his legacy alive.
The event THE ROOT OF SOCIAL JUSTICE & THE CHURCH is a powerful evening connecting our past, present, and future delivered by our keynote speaker Rev. Amber Scott. She works on the Social Responsibility team at the National Basketball Association and helps lead the league’s Social Justice global strategy. Amber co-founded the NBA’s first ever Black Employee Network, called Dream in Color.
We are excited to collaborate with the historic Monumental Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. J.W. Mapson. The Monumental Baptist Church is the official church for the Paul Robeson House & Museum. Additionally, we are excited about the fabulous Monumental Choir that recently performed at the 100th Philadelphia Mayoral Inauguration of Mayor Cherelle Parker.
