Eric JonesEric is currently serving as the Director of Business Development, Capture, Proposals and Growth in AT&T’s Defense and National Security segment, as a part of AT&T Public Sector and FIRSTNET.  In his role at AT&T Eric also serves as President of the Black Integrated Communications Professionals – Nation’s Capital Chapter, employee resource group.

Prior to AT&T, Eric was a Senior Account Executive for Gartner, responsible for the management, delivery, and growth of research and advisory services in the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community markets.  Eric was a Senior Account Executive for Gartner, responsible for the management, delivery, and growth of research and advisory services in the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community markets.  In earlier roles, Eric worked for both Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin, where he served as Senior Associate and Chief Technologist supporting NASA, Department of Justice, and US Intelligence Community clients.  In 2011, Mr. Jones was acknowledged by the U.S. Black Engineer and Technology Magazine as a Modern-Day Technology Leader for the engineering of cyber security solutions that enhanced the security of DoD programs and Intelligence Community missions.

Mr. Jones received his bachelor’s degree in information systems from Virginia State University and master’s degree in telecommunications sciences from Johns Hopkins University.

In 2020 Eric received a gubernatorial appointment from former Virginia Governor, Ralph Northom to serve as a board member for the New College Institute, located in Martinsville, VA.  Eric also volunteers as a board member of the Wendell Scott Foundation; Vice President of the Virginia State University Varsity Club; and a mentor as a part of Johns Hopkins University’s Leading in a Diverse Society mentorship program.

Eric and his wife Jessica reside in Annapolis, MD.
