AAAM Salary Survey

AAAM’s FIRST EVER Salary Survey is available, and we’d like to ask you to take the quick survey for your organization by or before March 31, 2023. The premise of this survey is for our members to have a tool that will show the deficit of how African American-focused museums are funded in comparison to our non-African American-focused museum peers. In some instances, we anticipate that the findings may be similar (or higher if your museum is tethered to federal or local municipalities or you have serious backing from a corporation).

However, we will not be able to garner support and funding for the field without obtaining this data. For either version, you will need the attached “list of 52 job titles” to categorize your staff as you answer ‘Part B’ of the survey (explanation below).
