NMAAHC presents: Black History Month Member Morning

AAAM members are invited to attend NMAAHC’s Black History Month Member Morning. The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) will kickoff Black History Month with this special Open House event

Saturday, February 1, 2020 ǀ 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

AAAM Members are invited to immerse yourselves in the rich and varied history of African Americans – stories of resilience, oppression, and triumph. Join us in honoring key figures in the African American community who helped make our country what it is today.  Please arrive by 8 a.m. and plan to stay after the Museum opens to the general public at 10 a.m.

During Member Morning, all galleries will be open, the Sweet Home Café and Museum Shop will be open, and other pop-up programs!

Advance registration is required.

Instructions to guests:

1.        Before you come, please print your tickets or have them available on your mobile phone at the door.

2.        Both the North and South doors will be open. Doors open at 8 a.m. and Members will have special access until 9:55 a.m. and you need not arrive before 8 a.m.  Guests cannot wait in the lobby in bad weather

3.        The Museum Shop will open at 8 a.m. especially for Members.

4.        The Sweet Home Café will open at 8 a.m. with food and beverages for purchase.

5.        AAAM members are welcome to stay after NMAAHC opens to the public at 10 a.m.
