The Association of African American Museums (AAAM) held its 41st annual conference August 7-10, 2019 in Jackson, MS, hosted by the Jackson State University, Margaret Walker Center.  The AAAM Board of Directors and Executive Director, Vedet R. Coleman-Robinson, received several Silent Auction donations to support our efforts to raise funds for the Burroughs-Wright Fellowship. The fellowship is awarded to qualified university students and first-year museum professionals to honor the legacy of black museum pioneers, Margaret T. G. Burroughs and Dr. Charles H. Wright.

The Silent Auction was held at the conference site, The Westin JacksonAugust 7-10, 2019.  Auction proceeds allow us to further the mission of providing fellows with professional development, technical training, and mentorship opportunities. Donors who contributed items valued at $500 or more received two tickets to the closing reception at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum on August 9, 2019.  Tickets were limited to the first 10 donors meeting the criteria.
