Sweet Honey In The Rock to Perform at AAAM2024 Opening Reception
Baltimore, MD – July 31, 2024 – The Association of African American Museums (AAAM) is thrilled to announce that the renowned vocal ensemble, Sweet Honey In The Rock, will be performing during the Opening Reception for the AAAM2024 Conference. The event will take place on August 14, 2024, at the Murphy Fine Arts Center, located at Morgan State University.
Sweet Honey In The Rock, a distinguished member of the National Park Service’s African American Civil Rights Network (AACRN), will bring their powerful and inspiring music to the conference. Their performance is generously supported by the AAAM x AACRN Grant Program, underscoring a shared commitment to celebrating and preserving African American culture and history.
The Opening Reception promises to be a memorable evening, with Sweet Honey In The Rock’s dynamic performance setting the tone for the conference. Please note that attendance is exclusive to registered guests of AAAM2024.
