Art as a Catalyst for Change

June 29, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Sometimes voices are not heard audibly but visually, a voice can be amplified through the power of the Arts.  For the creatives, art is healing, therapeutic, and a means of expression that allows others to be touched by its beauty. With current events, we have heard the collective cry of racial injustice. Artists around the country and abroad have created beautiful works of art that have inspired many to move to action.  Hear from Keyonna Jones, Founder and Executive Director of the Congress Heights Arts and Cultural Center in Washington DC, as she moderates a discussion with Minneapolis artist, Cadex Herrera (pictured), one of the artists who created the George Floyd mural that many have seen around the world.
