70th Anniversary Commemoration of Emmett Till
August 28 - August 30
Hosted by the Emmett Till Interpretive Center, Remembering Emmett is a series of programs commemorating 70 years since the murder of Emmett Till while also recognizing Mamie Till-Mobley’s courage in her pursuit of justice. The commemoration will take place August 28-29 in the H. G. Carpenter Building at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS, with the final event to be held at the seed barn in Drew, MS, on August 30.
